RECEPTION TENNIS COACHING at ST PAUL'S

8 Weeks Summer Term Thursdays 3:20–4:20

Started 23 Apr
80 British pounds
St Paul's C of E School

Service Description

Our Reception tennis sessions are specially designed for 4 and 5 year olds, giving children a fun, friendly introduction to sport at exactly the right stage of their development. At this age, children learn best through movement, imagination, and play, so our sessions are packed with fun activities, games, and simple tennis exercises that help build important early skills while keeping children smiling and engaged. Tennis is a fantastic activity for young children. It helps develop coordination, balance, agility, and hand-eye coordination, while also encouraging confidence, listening skills, and teamwork. Many parents are surprised by how quickly children develop these skills when they start tennis at this age. Just as importantly, it’s a wonderful opportunity for children to make new friends, learn to take turns, and build positive sporting habits such as encouragement, respect, and fair play. Our coaches are based at Vicars Moor Lawn Tennis Club, Sherbrook Gardens (N21), which is just a short walk from St Paul’s School. Many local families attend the club, and throughout the year we host family-friendly events including Junior Pancake Night, the Family Summer BBQ, the Junior Halloween Party, and the Christmas Party. These sessions often become a child’s first step into a sport they can enjoy for life, whether playing socially with friends or as part of the wider tennis community. Spaces for Reception are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis, so early booking is recommended. During the sessions we focus on: • Coordination and Balance • Hand-Eye Coordination • Making Tennis Buddies • Tennis Etiquette and Fair Play
